Where Nature Meets Nurture

In 1933, British writer James Hilton visited the majestic Kunlun Mountains of Tibet and was deeply inspired by the local customs and the vitality of the people living in the remote Hunza Valley. He later wrote the classic novel Lost Horizon, introducing the world to the mythical land of Shangri-La—a place where longevity was not a miracle, but a way of life. Reports from TIME magazine and Asia Weekly confirmed the remarkable lifespans of the residents there, many of whom lived well into their 80s and 90s in excellent health.

Modern scientific research discovered that nearly all centenarians in that region suffered very few chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular conditions, or diabetes. What stood out was their daily consumption of naturally glacial, deuterium-depleted water. Tests showed the deuterium levels in their water averaged 133ppm, significantly lower than the typical levels of 150ppm–155ppm found in other regions. This unique quality may be the secret behind their exceptional longevity and health.
